Operating Principles

Thermal Friction technology is a safe, sustainable and an effective process, converting medical waste into an alternative energy source.

• Homogenization- Medical waste treated by thermal friction technology becomes unrecognizable after treatment.  This is achieved through an advanced shredding and extruding process which can handle nearly all medical waste streams generated by healthcare providers.
• Desiccation- Requiring no steam or liquid chemistry, our thermal friction process creates an extremely dry by-product, by-product that burns at twice the BTU of regular Wood, and even higher BTU then Bituminous Coal, which is required for an efficient and valuable alternative source of energy.
• Sterilization- Our state of the art engineering maintains temperatures high enough to destroy all pathogenic organisms while at the same time, low enough to prevent creation of toxic fumes/pollutants associated with exposing plastics to high heat.
